Concept:

‘The Objectified series’ takes the objectification of women to the extreme as it portraits a woman as an object. ‘Porn star’ and ‘Fashion model’ made out of Brazilian waxes refer to cosmetics and porn magazines. These popular media influence how women are perceived, should look like, and behave. The latest hairlessness norm for women is just another form of the oppression of women which views the female body as deficient and in need of alteration. The objectification of women in our Western visual culture is so pervasive that it almost seems ‘natural’ to portray a women as a sexual object or, in this case, a powerless receptacle.
